1st day theory lecture in Pažaislis Monastery and 2nd day practice workshop in dental laboratory in Kaunas.
2nd day practice workshop in dental laboratory in Kaunas. (According to complex nature of workshop number of participants is limited to available fully equipped dental technician seats)
Objective: To know MiYO esthetic and MiYO Pink systems as an alternative to the traditional stratification
of white and pink ceramics.
We will work on a monolithic zirconium structure of 3 elements (11-13), previously prepared
in form and texture before infiltrating and sintering it.
Program:
Day 1
2020 17th of April 09:00
4 hours
- Presentation of MIYO as an aesthetic coating system for monolithic zirconium.
- Shape and texture of raw zirconium (We will use tungsten burs, diamond burs, rubber polishers and spatulas),
- Infiltration of raw zirconium (depth from the beginning).
Day 2
2020 18th of April 09:00
8 hours
- MIYO and MIYO Pink application.
- Bake parameters.
- Application of the structure masses of MIYO system (We will create the illusion of depth and contrast zones
to produce false volumes), - Texture, glaze and polish.
- Conclusions.
Second day participants are kindly advised to bring their own preferred tools from practice as if provided ones by organizer may not suit every specialist needs:
• Ceramic brushes.
• Spatules.
• Tweezers.
• Rotary Instruments (Burs, diamond discs, rubber polishers, etc.).
• Tray for ceramics.
• Graphite pencil.
About master Javier Pimienta:
TPD Javier Pimienta
Javier Pimienta is Dental Prosthesis Technician, born and raised in Venezuela.
He is graduated from Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho in 2006 and went
on to a post-graduate Maxillofacial Prosthesis Specialization at the Universidad
Central de Venezuela in 2007.
Since then, he has been in continous training with renowned masters as
Michael Magne (USA), Jungo Endo (Japan), Mitsutaka Fukushima (Japan), Murilo
Calgaro (Brazil), Juvenal Souza (Brazil), Stefan Picha (Germany), Anthimos Maki
(Germany), Javier Pérez (Spain), Iñigo Cazares (Spain), Manuel Minguez (Spain),
amongst others.
He has more than 12 years of experience in Prosthetic Laboratories, he was
Co-founder & Manager of Etruscos in Venezuela (2007); First Ceramist &
Manager of Dent2000 in Galicia, Spain (2009); and currently is Director & owner
of Studio de Tecnologia Dental in Madrid, Spain.
He is the author of the book Let Nature Speak The Key and PINK (Creation
Porcelain). He is member of Ceramill Experts Group (Amann Girrbach, Austria).
He has collaborated with the Master of Implantology of Porto University (CESPU,
Portugal). He is local and international speaker and is currently teaching the
course Let Nature Speak Zircon, Platinum Foil Technique and Pink Porcelain.
