Annual Diversity Charter Conference “Everyone’s Business”

On 19 May, we invite you to the annual Diversity Charter Conference - the most important event of the year dedicated to diversity, inclusion and organisational openness.

This year’s theme, “Everyone’s Business,” encourages a conversation about responsibility that does not end in executive offices or political decisions and does not belong to just one person. Diversity and inclusion are not only strategies or directives – they are everyday decisions, the language we choose, and the ability to create an environment where people of different identities belong.

At the conference, we will discuss gender equality and the role of men in achieving real change; the implementation of accessibility and board directives within organizations; and developments in securing the rights of the LGBT+ community, the existing gaps, and their significance for society. We will explore how organizations, leadership, and personal responsibility come together in diversity and inclusion practices.

This year, the program will also feature a new format – specialised workshops for those who want to dive deeper and seek practical solutions:

  • "Mental Health at Work: A Matter of Culture, Not an HR Project". Mental health in the workplace is not a one‑off initiative or a standalone HR project — it is an everyday cultural choice. In this workshop, we will explore why mental health is an integral part of diversity and inclusion, and how to support it systematically while still keeping focus on each individual. We will discuss the different roles within an organization — employees, managers, HR, and emotional well‑being coordinators — and examine why each of them plays a crucial part in creating a psychologically safe environment. We will also look at organizational factors that can either support or, conversely, hinder people with different needs. The workshop will be held by Eva Bakienė, Swedbank, Head of Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing, and Karilė Levickaitė, Partner and Consultant at MB “Gijos”, Psychologist, Expert in Mental Health and Human Rights. The workshop will be held in Lithuanian and will last 1 h. 20 min.
  • "Beyond ABC of Pay Transparency: Strategies and Tools for Employers". In this interactive workshop we will explore what employers need to think about when preparing for increased salary transparency. Participants will gain practical insights on key readiness areas such as salary-setting practices, pay gap reviews, and preparing HR and people managers to handle salary transparency conversations with employees. Drawing on experiences from the Swedish labour market, concrete tips and best practices from many years of working with similar — and in some areas stricter — pay equity legislation, will be shared. The aim is to provide practical inspiration on how organizations can start preparing already today. The workshop will be held by Sara Jonasson, DEI speaker and pay equity consultant based in Sweden. Sara is one of the members of Lönelotsarna, an expert network specializing in pay equity and that offers Sweden’s only openly available and free of charge tool for job evaluation and pay equity reviews. The workshop will be held in English and will last 1 h. 20 min.
