SKIGO MARATHON 2026

On March 1, 2026, cross-country skiers and winter sports enthusiasts are invited to take on the SKIGO Marathon challenge – a traditional event that attracts the largest community of cross-country skiing participants in Lithuania.

If you have skis, you simply must join together with your whole family! Participants can expect surprises.

COURSES

SKIGO MINI – children’s races (1–8 km)
SKIGO CHALLENGE – personal challenge distance (24 km, “Open” category)
SKIGO MARATHON – main distance (40 / 32 km)

SKIGO MINI

The children’s races welcome participants from the youngest skiers to older youth competitors. Distances are assigned according to age groups and completed in freestyle technique.

Age Groups and Distances:

Born in 2016 or later – 1 km

Born in 2013–2015 – 2 km

Born in 2010–2012 – 8 km

SKIGO CHALLENGE

Amateur skiers are invited to a 24 km cross-country skiing challenge. This distance is perfect for those who may be attempting such a distance for the first time and want to experience unforgettable emotions together with friends or family.

The course is also suitable for participants who have never skied on a professionally prepared track.

The distance may be completed using your preferred technique

A track for classic stule will be prepared too

The loop runs through the scenic slopes of the Anykšta stream

Born in 2009 or earlier – 24 km

SKIGO MARATHON

The main SKIGO Marathon distance is designed for regularly training amateur skiers and professionals seeking a true challenge.

Men (freestyle) – 40 km

Women (freestyle) – 32 km

Estimated prize fund – EUR 1500

A classic track will be available on the course

Men:

Elite (from 16 years) – 40 km, F (5 × 8 km)

M40 (born 1976–1985) – 40 km, F (5 × 8 km)

M50 (born 1966–1975) – 40 km, F (5 × 8 km)

M60 (born 1966 or earlier) – 32 km, F (4 × 8 km)

Women:

Elite (from 16 years) – 32 km, F (4 × 8 km)

W40 (born 1976–1985) – 32 km, F (4 × 8 km)

W50 (born 1966–1975) – 32 km, F (4 × 8 km)

W60 (born 1966 or earlier) – 32 km, F (4 × 8 km)

WINNER DETERMINATION

SKIGO MINI
The fastest 3 boys and fastest 3 girls in each age group will be awarded.

SKIGO CHALLENGE
The fastest 3 men and fastest 3 women will be awarded.

SKIGO MARATHON
The fastest 3 men and fastest 3 women in each age group will be awarded.
