Corgi Race Vilnius 2026

What started in 2020 as a bet between two corgi owners has become one of Europe’s most beloved summer events. Corgi Race Vilnius returns to Vingis Park on August 15th for its fifth edition – bigger, louder, and fluffier than ever.

Last year, 140 corgis from six countries raced, barked, and paraded their way through Vingis Park – reaching 2.8 billion viewers worldwide through 3,200 publications in 40 countries and 20 languages, including ABC News, Sky News, ZDF, New York Post, Fox News, People, AP, and Reuters. This is the world’s biggest stage for the world’s shortest athletes.

The programme includes five competitions: a 50-metre sprint race with heats, semi-finals, and a grand final, a costume parade judged by live public vote, the Mightiest Voice barking showdown, a puzzle-solving competition, and the remarkable solo sprint. Between competitions, enjoy food vendors, partner activations, and more furry chaos than you can handle.

Pembroke Welsh and Cardigan Welsh corgis from across Europe are invited to register for free. Spectators are encouraged to get their tickets now. Vingis Park stadium holds 6,000 people, and the plan is simple – fill it again. As the event approaches, ticket prices will rise, so early birds win.

Vilnius has already become the corgi capital of Europe. And if you’re looking for global attention – forget influencers and short-lived trends. Sometimes, one corgi is enough.
