Tour in Cold War-era bunker

Gatvės gyvos has opened a new site for history enthusiasts: the Cold War-era civil-defence shelter “Automatika”. The structure was built in 1975 and was designed to protect city residents in case of the use of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. The shelter is distinctive for its many authentic details, so once inside, you travel not only in space, but also in time.

A guide accompanies each group, the maximum size of which is limited to 10.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS.

  • Meeting place: the “Lelija” bus stop, located next to the building at Panerių g. 45. Precise location.
  • We insist that you arrive on time. All participants must enter the shelter together, at the same time, and in case some group members arrive late, there is no way to communicate with us (there is no communication once inside the shelter). Tickets of late arrivals cannot be used at a later time and refunds are not made.
  • The excursion takes about 60 to 75 minutes.
