Vilnius Swimming Championship 2026

Goal

To identify the strongest athletes in swimming and underwater sports.

Objectives:

• To promote swimming and underwater swimming sports;
• To improve athletes’ mastery;
• To provide swimmers and coaches with competitive experience.

Venue:
Lazdynai Swimming Pool, Erfurto St. 13, Vilnius

Date:
10–11 April 2026 (Friday–Saturday)

Schedule:

• 10 April – competition starts at 14:00 (warm-up at 13:00, pool entry from 12:30);
• 11 April – competition starts at 10:00 (warm-up at 9:00, pool entry from 8:30).

Competition organizer – Sostinės sporto centras.
Chief referee – Valentina Timofejeva.

The competition is held in accordance with the rules of the international swimming federation World Aquatics and the international underwater sports federation CMAS.

PARTICIPANTS

Athletes from the Capital Sports Centre and other Lithuanian and foreign teams born in 2014 or earlier may participate.

Younger athletes from the Capital Sports Centre may participate if they have at least:
• Youth Class II qualification in the swimming events included in the program;
• MP8 standard in finswimming competitions.

Age groups:

• Adults – women and men born in 2011 or earlier;
• Youth – girls and boys born in 2012 or later.

The organizers reserve the right to stop accepting entries once the number of participants exceeds 400 athletes.

Each athlete may compete in:

• Up to four events in total, but no more than three per day;
• Up to three events in finswimming competitions.

All participants must have a valid health certificate (form 0.68a). Team leaders/coaches/representatives are responsible for ensuring this requirement.

According to the National Anti-Doping Rules, athletes born in 2013 or earlier must hold valid certificates issued by the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency confirming completion of anti-doping training.

REGISTRATION

Entries must be submitted by email: plaukimas@sostinessc.lt
Registration deadline: 2 April, 16:00

Submitted results must be achieved no earlier than 1 January 2025.
Withdrawals accepted until 9 April, 16:00.

Entries may be submitted via:
• Entry Editor software, specifying best results, pool length, date, and city;
• Swimrankings.net, by sending the generated “entries by athlete” file;
• Sostinės sporto centras coaches submit entries separately.

Entries are considered accepted only upon receiving confirmation.

Results are recorded using the Swiss Timing Quantum Aquatic electronic timing system.
All races are held as finals.

AWARDS

Event winners and medalists receive medals and prizes from organizers and sponsors.
In swimming events, the top three girls and top three boys in each age group with the highest combined AQUA ranking from two events are awarded medals and prizes.
In finswimming events, two girls and two boys in each age group with the highest number of top placements are awarded medals and prizes.

ENTRY FEES

• For Sostinės SC athletes: 10 €
• For athletes from other organizations: 20 €

The fee must be paid for all athletes listed in the initial start protocol.
Payment is made via Paysera Tickets.

Organizations unable to pay via Paysera Tickets may request an invoice by emailing gintautas.bartkus@sostinessc.lt.

Travel, accommodation, and meals are covered by the sending organization.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Vilnius Swimming Championship is a public event held at Lazdynai Swimming Pool, where filming and photography may occur.
Recorded material may be distributed in the media, on TV channels, and online.

Team leaders/coaches are responsible for:
• Submitting documents on time;
• Ensuring participants’ safety;
• Ensuring appropriate behavior during the competition.

By submitting an entry, athletes and teams confirm they have read and agree to abide by these regulations.

Organizers reserve the right to change the competition date, time, or program.
