"SurgiLEAP" - Surgeon's Assistant Workshop Series, Part Two in KAUNAS with ICOSA
It is said that you will become an expert in a field after developing the skills required for it for at least 10,000 hours. If you associate yourself with surgery, we will provide the first 12 hours! Incisio Prima presents a three-part training series that will consistently prepare you to assist a surgeon and allow you to acquire skills for your career.
The second workshop in the "SurgiLEAP" series builds upon the foundation laid in "SurgiSPARK", delving into more advanced surgical skills. This session focuses on mastering advanced suturing techniques, exploring alternatives to traditional suturing, and understanding wound drainage methods. Designed to enhance both precision and adaptability, this workshop equips you with the tools needed to support complex wound management and contribute more effectively to the surgical team.
The workshop will be conducted in Lithuanian and English on different sessions. If you can only attend the session not in your preferred language, we will make sure to give you individual instructions in the language you prefer.

In the theoretical part of the training (40 min):

In the hands-on part of the training you will learn (3 hrs 20 min):
🔸 How to perform a Tip-Stitch suture

🔸 How to perform a Horizontal Mattress suture
🔸 How to perform a Simple Running suture
🔸 How to perform an Interlocking suture
🔸 How to perform a Running Vertical Mattress suture
🔸 How to perform Intracutaneous suture
🔸 How to make a Penrose drain, Penrose drain fixation
🔸 Active drain fixation
At the end of the training, you will consolidate your knowledge via real-time testing and have the opportunity to win a practical prize. In addition, a training certificate and a handout of the course will be waiting for you.
Training in the English language will be held on December 15th at LSMU Faculty of Pharmacy, Sukilėlių pr. 13, Kaunas in collaboration with ICOSA - International Committee of SA - LSMU.
First session time (Lithuanian language): 11:00 - 15:00
Second session time (English language): 16:00 - 20:00

⬆️ During "SurgiSPARK" real-life medical items are used. Silicone pad excellently imitates skin for suturing tasks.
Tickets are only refundable if the event date is changed or cancelled.
