Shibari Workshop: Affliction 101

Requirements:
Open to singles and couples. However, participants attending without a partner (singles) will not be able to fully take part in the practical part and will only be able to observe.

Please bring a minimum of 6 lengths of rope. If you don’t have your own ropes, you will be able to use ropes available at the club.

Workshop Description

In this workshop we will explore how rope can be used to create a range of intense physical sensations, including restriction, discomfort, pressure, and controlled stress on the body. Participants will work through practical exercises focused on understanding how these sensations are produced, how they are perceived, and how to manage them responsibly within a rope context.

Special attention will be given to communication, consent, and safety, as these practices require trust and awareness between partners. The goal of the workshop is to provide tools and techniques that allow participants to experiment with stronger sensations in a way that remains mindful, informed, and ultimately enjoyable for everyone involved.

This session is intended for participants who already have intermediate rope experience and are comfortable with fundamental ties and partner communication during rope practice.

Instructor

Witchcraft, rigger from Estonia, has been practicing rope for over 10 years, focusing primarily on suspension bondage. Rather than following a specific school, his style can be described as an intuitive fusion, exploring body shapes and physical intensity through rope.

Throughout his journey, he has also performed, taught workshops, and participated in various art projects, films, and live drawing events.
