Hack-ECOM hackathon

If you are seeing lots of business opportunities or have been carrying this perfect idea for a long time – this is the time to make it into a viable product or business! We are looking for professional, committed participants who are serious about bringing new e-commerce solutions and businesses into the world, who will take the most out of this hackathon and who will continue working after the event!

We focus on e-commerce related ideas, products, apps and features:  E-commerce shops, E-commerce shop platforms, E-businesses, SaaS for E-commerce, Marketing tools, Advertising tools, Newsletter tools, Delivery solutions, Payment solutions, new ways to use E-commerce (support chatbots, VR, AR, gamification, you name it), etc.

We as well welcome professionals from already existing e-commerce companies to join Hack-ECOM hackathon! Your teams will compete in special “Pro League” category and will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test by creating new valuable business solutions.

We know that real results can be created only with deliberate time and effort, therefore we encourage you to do your homework and come prepared! The only condition here is that your product or business should not have any real users or sales prior the event. During this hackathon you will be able to consult with professional e-commerce mentors and will have the opportunity to find team members who are as committed and ready to creating real value as you are! And last, but not least – during the whole event we promise you the best entrepreneurial VIBE to inspire you to JUST DO IT!

This event is organised by 2 online business professionals: digital marketing consultant Vladas Sapranavičius (Webconsulting) and Paulius Rimavičius, co-founder of NoriuNoriuNoriu.lt.

P.S. We are all about creating REAL value, therefore if you are just a random wanderer, looking for a fun weekend with no intentions of continuing working after the event until creating a viable business – please pass this event

1. The goal of participating teams is to develop the best e-commerce related application / prototype of business idea.
2. Competition starts on 6 PM on Friday and ends on 7 PM on Sunday.
3. Participants will be able to choose a special topic provided by sponsors or come up with their own e-commerce related idea.
4. Number of participants in a team is from 3 to 5.
5. Participants are encouraged to use the help of the mentors.
6. Applications and ideas will be evaluated and awarded by the jury of the event.
7. Participants are encouraged to come prepared to the event (for example can bring partly developed project), but projects can’t have real sales or users before the event.

Participants

Option 1. Teams formed by online business companies (3-5 persons). (Team can attract additional “free agents” at the team forming stage).
Option 2. Individual entrepreneurs, developers, designers and marketers. They will form teams after initial pitches at team forming stage.

Topics

The general topic of this hackathon is e-commerce. Participants may choose any specific topic within this general topic or choose a specific topic proposed by sponsors of the event. Those who choose their own topics, compete for the main prize of a Hack-ECOM. And those who pick a specific topic suggested by a sponsor, compete for additional prize established by a sponsor.

Prizes

1. The main prize of the event – all teams compete for this prize.
2. Prizes established by sponsors – teams what choose the topic suggested by sponsors compete for these prizes.
3. “Pro League” prize – teams formed by e-commerce companies compete for this prize.
