Ikebana Workshop with Master Tomoko Sempo Yanagi

Į Lietuvą atvyksta ikebana meistrė Tomoko Sempo Yanagi, kuri surengs ikebana dirbtuves Azijos menų centre.
Tomoko Sempo Yanagi yra Ikenobo Ikebana draugijos (JK) profesorė, Ikenobo JK ir Airijos pirmininkė. Tomoko san gyvena su ikebana nuo pat vaikystės. Jos pirmoji vieša ikebana demonstracija įvyko Kalifornijoje, 1989 metais. Nuo 1998 metų Tomoko san gyvena Jungtinėje Karalystėje, kur eksponuoja savo Ikebana kūrinius bei veda ikebana seminarus ir dirbtuves.
Rugpjūčio 13 d. 18val. Tomoko Sempo Yanagi surengs ikebana dirbtuves, kuriose bus kuriama kompozicija Moribana stiliumi. Gėlės bus komponuojamos japoniškuose metaliniuose laikikliuose, vadinamuose kenzan ir induose suiban. Po renginio augalus dalyviai galės parsinešti į namus ir perkelti į savo turimas vazas ar indus, tokiu būdu papuošiant namų erdvę savo subtiliu kūriniu.

Ikebana master Tomoko Sempo Yanagi is coming to Lithuania and is eager to share her knowledge with you at the Asian Arts Centre!
Tomoko Sempo Yanagi holds professor status with the Ikenobo School of Ikebana. The Ikenobo is an officially recognised group of Ikebana learners by the Ikebana HQ in Japan (the oldest Ikebana school in Japan and possibly the oldest floral art school in the world). She is experienced in Ikebana since childhood. Her first public Ikebana demonstration was held in California, in 1989. After she moved to the UK in 1998, she exhibited her Ikebana works and conducted workshops. Tomoko started teaching Ikebana in London from 2001 after more than a decade of practicing the art in her home country of Japan.
On August 13th 18:00, Tomoko Sempo Yanagi will hold an Ikebana workshop at the Asian Art Center in Vilnius. The flower composition will be created in the style of Moribana. The flowers will be arranged in Japanese metal holders called kenzan and in the containers called suiban. After the event, the participants will be able to take the plants home and transfer them to their own vases or containers, thus extending and decorating the home space with a delicate touch.
Use the exceptional opportunity to learn this wonderful Japanese art of flower arrangement from the Ikebana master herself.
The workshop will be held in English.
All necessary material for the workshop will be provided. Japanese tea will be served during the workshop.
Recommended for participants over the age of 16.
Event duration: up to 2.5 hours.
The workshop will be held at the Asian Arts Center, Užupis, Krivių st. 12 (UMI).
The event can be photographed and filmed, and the captured material made public.
The ticket is not refundable.
