COFFEE & SCOOTERS I KOSMOS THEATRE

A rented electric scooter is the appendix of the city, promoting rushing and avoiding walking. It often receives negative reactions due to improper parking and unsafe driving. This green monster seems to rob many people of common sense, causing nausea and disgust (in my subjective opinion, based on a comprehensive survey reflecting the real situation). A rented electric scooter is designed to serve an international corporation throughout its life, transporting people from point A to point B. However, users decide when to give the scooter "life" (activate it) and when to take it away (deactivate it). What happens in between and afterward remains a mystery: power struggles, exploitation, hypnosis, speed, money, drunk driving, and illegal parking are echoes from the lives of scooters.

The street/object theater performance "Coffee & Scooters" invites you to explore the daily life of the secret community of rented electric scooters, viewing them as objects with the right to exist in the city, fighting against people and other rented vehicles for an equal presence in the urban landscape.

Seeking their voice, the scooters choose a young man who has the potential to understand their problems. However, to take action, he first needs to sober up. Every evening, day after day, the young man forgets who he is, what needs to be communicated, and how and to whom it should be expressed.
