Myths of the Green Paradise

Alejandro Olarte is a Finnish composer who brings us to a topic that is also very relevant to us: confrontation between nature, ecology and technology, energy. It's not first time for Alejandro to come to Lithuania. He had lectures at international creative workshops organized by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.

The Scandinavian countries, especially Finland, are known as the 'green paradise'. It has such label (!) because of the politics and high public awareness of these countries in the field of environmental protection. However, the author says that with growing use of modern technology in Finland and worldwide, the demand for electricity is increasing. However, the author presenting the installation at the Museum of Energy and Technology invites to question the incompatibility of technology and nature a priori and to discuss this stereotype and consumption patterns in general.

During the meeting with composer we will talk not only about his stereotype but also about the installation and contemporary music trends in Finland and Lithuania.
