Temazcal Sweatlodge

"Temazcal" is an ancient sweatlodge ritual practised by the ancient Mayan, Aztec and Toltec civilisations. The term 'Temazcal' is derived from the old Nahuatl language from the words 'teme' (to wash) and 'calli' (house), and means 'house of heat'. This ritual focuses on body, spiritual and mental health.

The ritual is a therapeutic treatment that helps to relieve stress, relieve pain, and can help treat skin and respiratory diseases. Temazcal is heated with fire-heated stones which are brought into the lodge, which is made from hazelnut into a tortoise shell-like structure.

P.S. For the full experience of Temazcal, be sure to come with a sober mind.

P.P.S. Instead of a bathing suit, it is recommended (not mandatory) to wear a light cotton dress or scarf, especially for women.

The duration of the sweatlodge ceremony is 2,5 hours.

The Temazcal is located to the left of the Labyrinth. You can also find out the exact location of the lodge at the Infopoint at the venue. Contact tel: +37060033622
