Evening Urban SUP tour in Kaunas 09-12
After a busy workday, lets go paddle on Nemunas River!
The tour begins behind the Rail (Green) and M.K. Čiurlionis bridges. Later you will bypass the Nemunas Island, where the Žalgirio Arena stands. You will be able to enjoy the views of nature, and after passing the island you will see the architecture of Kaunas Old Town on the right side. You will paddle under Aleksotas bridge and immediately behind it, from the river you will have a wonderful view of Vytautas the Great Church, and in the distance you will see the Town Hall towers. The tour finishes at the Combo Club (Brastos Street).
It is a great opportunity to admire Kaunas in the evening and actively spend time for both the citizens and guests of the city.
TIME. We start at 18:30 and begin with the instruction that will give you all the information you need: how to get on a paddle board correctly, how to paddle, how to behave in case you fall, and other important rules on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, then you will paddle. Total paddling time: 1-1:30 hours (depending on speed and weather conditions).
THE ROUTE. We meet behind the Čiurlionas Bridge, on the H. and O. Minkovskių Street side, immediately after the stop turn to the right to the gravel road. (Coordinates 54.881813, 23.922333, Map link https://goo.gl/maps/VvFj7Nmj33o ). You will complete the tour and disembark at the former Combo Club (Brastos Street). We recommend leaving the car on Brasos Street and arriving by Čiurliono Bridge by taxi or public transport.
CLOTHING. Get dressed in loose, athletic clothing that will not immobilize movements, comfortable footwear. Choose the weather-friendly outfit - if the forecasts promise a cooler evening, dress up warmer. In case of falling down, take another set of clothes in the car. Important items: phones, car keys, etc. - you can leave in our car while you paddle.
PRICE. Evening paddle tour price is 15 EUR (price includes: briefing, all necessary equipment).
In case of very adverse weather conditions (storms, thunderstorms or other dangerous natural phenomena) that may pose a risk to the participants of the event, night tour may not take place at the scheduled time and may be rescheduled to another date by mutual agreement. In this case, the tour participants will be informed in person by phone at the time of ticket purchase.
THE PARTICIPANTS. Night Tour is available for children from 13 years accompanied by adults. Bear in mind, the accompanying instructor does not paddle during the evening tours, the participants paddle on their own. If you are in doubt about your ability to paddle on your own, we recommend taking paddle lessons before joining the night tour (more info: www.gosup.lt).
It is prohibited to take a tour for persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The organizers have a right not to give the service to drunk people and not to refund the ticket paid.
If the event occurs but the customer does not arrive to the event and does not contact the administration on the ticket due to his/her failure to arrive in advance, the money paid for the ticket will not be refunded. The ticket purchased is valid for a specific event only.
