Virtualus Seminaras - NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance

AGS D/F SW project was implemented as part of NATO AGS Core development program, that was jointly undertaken by a consortium of aeronautical, engineering and IT companies in 15 countries. Lithuanian part (project) was initiated by the Ministry of National Defense, which coordinated the program on national side.  

The main goal of NATO AGS (Alliance Ground Surveillance) Program – provide state-of-the-art Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) system, which comprises of air (UAV), ground (IS) and support (MOB) segments. Such capability for performing all weather, persistent, wide-area terrestrial and maritime surveillance in near real-time is considered critical in the context of today's global challenges in military, security, humanitarian field.  

Project is very unique in many aspects, but is best described by the word multi: multi-million value (M€), multi-year duration (62 months, Jan 2013 - Feb 2018), multi-effort/work (>660 ManMonth, >110 000 hrs), multi-development teams (almost 30 people during peak times), multi-national, multi-locations (Lithuania, Germany (Airbus Defence&Space), Netherlands (NATO SHAPE), Italy (MOB).
