Experience Nr.2

We are delighted to announce the next set of experiences that will be carefully orchestrated by Tauras Stalnionis, Goda Palekaitė, and Marija Puipaitė in relation to Palekaitė's and Puipaitė's current exhibition, "Anatomy of the Fetish."

In the delicate interplay of desire, a fetish seeks its muse—a soft refuge, a realm of allure and secrecy. It craves embodiment, be it in the curves of a woman, the texture of an object, the layers of food, or the tapestry of a foreign culture.
In this cozy haven, desire becomes a whispered secret, an exploration that transcends the ordinary. The allure lies not just in what is seen but in the layers waiting to be uncovered.

During the performative evening, we will delve into and experience the main themes of the exhibition - the fetishization of cultures, bodies, and objects in historical and contemporary contexts, set against the backdrop of fetish anatomy scenography. A performative five-act narrative, employing the techniques of food choreography, will transform the audience into participants, guiding them from the prologue to the epilogue through the realms of tradition and exoticism.

Tauras Stalnionis, a versatile professional based in Berlin, is recognized as a designer, researcher, and freelance chef. His extensive experience spans diverse projects in products, spaces, graphics, and design education across Europe and Asia. Specializing in graphic design, Tauras focuses on typography and type design, collaborating with clients in book publishing, music, and the art and culture industries. Furthermore, he actively participates in Performative Design, delving into the exploration of food as both a subject and a medium, notably under the name of Café Müller.

Goda Palekaitė is a Brussels-based artist and researcher working at the intersection of contemporary art, performance, artistic research, literature, and anthropology. Her practice revolves around projects exploring the politics of historical narratives, the agency of dreams and imagination, and social conditions of creativity. Recently, Goda has been developing intimate relationships with historical characters and other discourses of knowledge. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Arts at Hasselt University.

Marija Puipaitė is a Vilnius-based designer whose primary design focuses on the human body and its intimate, organic connection with design objects. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Her research pertains to historical body perception and the agency of things, the conditions in which it can evoke a desire. Therefore, the inwards, layers, and sensual perception of what the object is in itself, in its body, becomes significant motifs in her works.
